Our Mission PartnershipsInternational Missions South Africa Churches: Rosettenville Baptist Church, Johannesburg, SA: Mission includes Holiday Bible Clubs, Community Outreach, Preaching and Evangelism. A special mission opportunity is the distribution of the Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes to children in the local schools. Port Shepstone Baptist, Port Shepstone, SA: Mission Opportunities normally includes evangelistic preaching, Holiday Bible Clubs in the rural areas, construction in Port Shepstone mission projects, and speaking in local schools. Door of Hope, Johannesburg, SA: Statistics indicate that approximately 30 babies per month are abandoned (stuffed in a trash can, left in the bushes, placed in a man-hole or simply left on the street) in Johannesburg. The local police and hospitals also work with the Door of Hope when they discover abandoned or abused babies. More and more babies are coming to the Door of Hope through these sources.
The Door of Hope Baby Houses currently house 60 babies maximum. They have a constant need of funds to maintain the three baby houses in good condition, to buy food and supplies for the babies, to support their adoption process and to expand their support to facilitate the growing number of babies who are being abandoned.
The Door of Hope needs volunteers on long and short term basis to come and help with the care of the babies. If you would like more information on the Door of Hope you may go to their website at www.holeinthewall.org.za.
Africa For Christ: Africa for Christ is an organization headed by Rev. Terry Rae who has begun over 80 church starts in the last five years. Cabarrus Baptist Association has provided monetary assistance and training at the Makonde Bapitst Church in Makonde, South Africa. We are currently trying to get a grant to provide a well at Makonde Baptist Church. Many of these churches will need help in the future.
Bangladesh (International Mission Board): We have done very little in this partnership. Kannapolis First Baptist Church has been very active in sending teams to Bangladesh to assist Joey and Janessa Morrison, IMB Missionaries, in their work. However, Joey and Jannessa have returned from this assignment, so we must assess what we can do to help the current missionaries.
AGAPE Royal Ministries, Trivandrum, India: AGAPE Royal Ministries is in constant need for ministers and lay people. The trip includes teaching at Logos Bible College, leading Vacations Bible School in their twelve children's homes and working with 85 churches.
